Worked really well on difficult surfaces to tell me the worst! But that's what it's for - and that info, acted upon, will keep me safe.

Absolutely terrible - tested a wall in my sons bedroom that came up positive for lead-then went on to test every wall in my house which came up positive for lead. Completely freaked out with this so sent all samples off to a lab with the whole of my upstairs rooms were ALL were NEGATIVE! These tests are not accurate and create anxiety! They state they are testing for other metals such as zinc oxide and that this isn’t used in paints but this is misleading as this can be found in some paints. Do not waste your money-send to a lab if unsure!!!

Super easy to use with quick results!

arrived quickly instructions clear, helped confirm suspicions about the old flaking paint on my window sills.

Sanding paint from an old staircase, someone warned me it might contain lead (lead based paint used into the 1960s)
There are a few test kits available online, wasn't sure how reliable they are.
I chose this Sensafe kit, made in the USA, simple to use and very sensitive, it confirmed the staircase paint contained lead (indicator paper turns pink).
So sensitive that it picks up lead traces in dust, containing lead paint.
I tried the test on a new gloss paint surface and it was negative (indicator paper green).
Wish I knew about this test before I started the job, will use it again for a similar job for sure

I was using these to test paint on walls. So one drop of the reagent on the oval side of the tab then just sellotape it onto the wall directly over the spot I wanted to test and in co tact with it and it was easy. I am very happy with the results one negative three positive.

Product was easy to use. It proved that I did have lead in my wall paint, which I did think anyway.

Highly recommended

Got the lead testing kit to test old paint on floorboards before sanding down. Showed us that the paint was in fact lead so we decided not to sand.

Arrived early and did exactly as advertised.

Lead Testing kit - this worked as it should and confirmed that we unfortunately have some areas of lead paint in our house. If you live in a Victorian house like us and are planning on rubbing down any old paintwork, I would recommend this kit to check for lead first.

A neighbour and I sanded the paint from an old metal fence in our garden, spraying dust everywhere, and only afterwards suspected lead. The test was easy to apply, and so clearly positive that I doubted it for a moment (pink swab on the right). A quick control on our modern indoor paint was clearly negative (green swab on the left). Oh dear. Careful cleanup needed. Anyway, the test is simple and effective, and it arrived promptly.

I'm a painter and decorator and I have to continually test for lead in old paint, these tests strips make it very easy to determine if there is an issue or not. Good product and is delivered quickly.

It works well. Told me there were lead paint on some place and not others.

Works great. I was helping a friend with some painting on an old house that had additions added at 3-4 different times. This test clearly showed which parts of the house had lead paint and which ones were lead free.

Gives some piece of mind. I used a few of these in my house and they're really easy to use and verify with.

Used for various different projects during lockdown. Worked as expected.

I tried these on my very old house paint, window sills, and walls where lead might be. These were so easy to use it was wonderful! Nothing positive! So that's a relief

Purchased a house build in 1925. Although I’m sure the house has been painted several times...better safe than sorry

We were stripping paint from some doors. I was suspicious the old paint had lead. Tested with these strips. Two of the layers of paint showed bright red. The primer and top coat did not. It worked as expected.

Great purchase if you are concerned about lead in the paint in your home.

This is a must for all households, mostly found in older homes, antiques, and inherited items. You will be surprised where lead can be found!!!
Peter S.
I love having these on hand while antiquing to test for lead. It sure brings me peace of mind when working on a paint stripping project.

Super easy to use. You almost don't know if you are doing it right until you get the dreaded red!!!! Can't beat the price and simplicity to ensure I have the knowledge to keep my family safe!

These have worked well for testing paint in my old house (1910 original construction). Directions are easy to follow.
Hannah I.
Easy application and necessary if you’re remodeling at home since so many things contain lead like paints.

Works great, super easy to use. Saved my kids from lead exposure on vintage toys.

I love having a set of these in the drawer for when I want to confirm the presence (or absence) of lead. It's a good feeling. They are easy to use with clear results.

Made me feel better knowing there wasn't lead in my home
